The Club purchased a defibrillator with the help of the British Heart Foundation. It is positioned on the outside of the clubhouse and could be a life saver in this relatively remote part of the South Cowal peninsula.
During the afternoon of the 30 April CPR and defibrillator training was held at the clubhouse. A big thank you Dougie Whyte (a recently retired paramedic and club member) for running this session. Thanks also to all the participants in what was a very enjoyable afternoon.
Dougie is pictured on the right showing the location of the defibrillator. In an emergency when you dial 999 the ambulance service will give you the location and access code for the nearest community defibrillator.
